1959 Thunderbird

I have the opportunity to buy a clean 59 thunderbird HT. All original with documents.
Interior and body in excellent shape. Engine and trans are solid.
The paint is good except for several small areas and front/ rear bumpers need to be rechromed.

My question - Is the price of $6700.00 ok for this year/condition?

Sounds fair. Which engine is it? Do they have ANY receipts, or did they "buy the car this way"? Where is the car at, North USA, West USA, etc?

Rich like Jon said it sounds fair and maybe a llittle too fair. Identify what motor and tranny are currently in it and how many original miles ( not rebuilt ) on the 59. What documents are they, dealers, title and receipts for work performed to verify condition. I would personally, get a compression test done to determine all cylinders.The bumpers to take off and rechrome can be costly and paint is paint. It sounds like a good deal but I would investigate further.

Thanks for the responses. All documented receipts. Data plate info all matches. Engine (352)rebuilt 15 years ago with 11000 documented miles since(total 110,000). Trans is crusiomatic No blue smoke. The bumpers definetly need rechroming. Interior chrome is excellent and dash is nice. It has airconditiong. Transmission rebuilt in 2007 along with carb.
No rust floor pans and trunk are solid. New exhaust.
Paint is showing wear but presentable.

Rich as the others have already posted GO FOR IT. If what you stated below is indeed correct, with the asking price you can still get the chrome, paint and others done and still be under 20K. Good luck with your decision
