    Question on adjusting Temp Gauge

I read the posts and tech on adjusting the temp gauge.

The upper right gear adjusts the needle lower. I did that.

My needle with key off is way below the left dot. How do I adjust that up to the dot? Is that what the lower left gear does? And, do I have to adjust it with the key on and engine cold or what?

Is there a sequence to doing this-- do you adjust the left one first and the the right one

Yes, the left one controls the minimum for the gauge. With the engine cold, the needle will normally be left of the dot.

      Alexander:

With the key ON, and engine COLD it is exactly on the left dot at start-up.

Then will that cold point at start-up be different in the winter and the summer, since the coolant in the engine will be colder or hotter???

Yes, it will be more to the left in colder temperatures.
