'60 Automatic Convertible Top on a '59 Tbird

    If you look under the light switch you can just barely make out the push button. I had to look hard to actually see it. The angle that the picture was taken makes it difficult to see. If it had an automatic top the knob would be on the other side of the dash.

      Also if you look at the pictures of the interior of the trunk you will see the switch for the top motor on the left side liner as is typical of 1959 convertibles. BTW, mine also has a powered passenger seat but that is because I changed both front seats to power.

          Sorry I missed this thread. I do not have anything to add beyond Alan's post except from Dan L. who has owned a 59 convert. for many many years. He basicallly says that 59 with a fully automatic top has yet to be seen. Basically from many years of being active within VTCI back to when it was only a 58-60 club.

          I did look in my parts book but it ends mid 1959 production. Not much help.

          I am of the opinion that if one can produce a ducumented car I might be a believer.
