    High Beam Switch

I noticed the high beam switch metal contact cap is bit wobbly. It's even worse when I placed the high beam switch rubber cover on it. Switch operation isn't crisp like I remember in cars 45 years ago.

Is this signaling time to replace the switch?

If any doubt I'd replace it. If it fails or becomes intermittent , you have no headlights.

Thanks, and it's amazing how prices vary. Even the part # has 2 choices: DS 105 or DS 43. I bought a Borg Warner DS 105 switch for $9.99 out the door. The highest exact replacement was $28.95 plus shipping.

planetbrakeparts in EBay has a Borg Warner USA made DS 105 dimmer switch for $9.99. It's the same as the DS 43 and about 4 other cross reference numbers that fits 1958-60 Fords to name a few.

It is an exact replacement of the one installed in my car which was also USA made, but had a RBM? logo.
