new radio wiring

Hey everybody, I just started installing my new radio/ cd player in my squarebird. The connection I used first to power it was the one going to the light in the SelectAire switchpanel. So, the problem with that is, the unit will only work when the lights are on.

So, can someone suggest a better place to connect up to? Thanx.

RE: new radio wiring

The original wire to the factory radio goes to the ACC side of the ignition switch. You can use the original wire. It has a fuse holder on it. The radio will only work when the key is on "on" or "ACC."
