390 C6 Suspension Repairs Almost Done

Its getting close. I am starting to get excited. I heard my rebuilt 390 run for the first time and it sounds great. Should have it out of the shop in a day or two. Still some linkage work to be done.

Here is a picture of the engine in the car and a picture of the new exhaust system, new rear springs and new tank I put in a while ago.

Looking really good - I can understand the excitement. Looks like the exhaust is set up like the original. I really like the way Ford turned the tips right at the edge of the rear bumper. Still have the original exhaust on mine (except the mufflers) and it makes a nice low rumble at idle. Sweeeet.

I see your delima on the booster and valve covers but they do look nice.

Thanks for posting the pics. Glad things are progressing.

    Good luck
    Eric

I think with the new bracket and the hockey stick I designed the booster will fit with room to spare. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Hmm, looking good. Chrome on those tail light housings caught my eye. Are they re plated or good second hand? Love that color too.

The chrome is original just cleaned and polished. The color is a 1958 Chevrolet color called Cashmere Blue.

Two of your red tail lamps, on one side, are turned upside down.

I'll let decide which two. LOL!!!

Humm - probably wrong but I'm going to guess the 2 on the drivers side are wrong. Seems like water could pool at the bottom screw and cause a rust issue.??

Thought it was a Thunderbird color like Baltic Blue - no wonder that car is giving you troubles.......it's the Chevrolet paint........

(just kidding - it is a really nice color combo)

Thanks for catching that. I hope its the drivers side, because I have a new one that I need to change for the broken one on that side.
