Hey guys my names Jt and I have a 67 Tudor and FYI this Is my first ford project. And yes I beleive you have to jump in the deep end first let me first say I LOVE the car I know it's a love or hate car but I fall in the first category! When I first saw her it was love at first sight from that big grill to her blushing tail lites I knew I had to have her so I bought her without checking facts ie parts availability! So now I am having to be inventive I need a set of rear lower control arms as one of mine is rusted out. I have checked with every possible vendor on earth I think lol and they either don't have them or they only carry up to 66 so does anybody know if th r e are any out there that will interchange ? Any info will get me closer to where my girl deserves to be

Looks like they used the same arm on the full size Fords from '65-72 so you might get lucky. They might've used them later than '72 but my parts book only goes up to there.

John, I am so glad you researched this! That is exactly what I was thinking and was about to suggest when I saw your post. Even though the model design changed from '64-'66 to '67 and beyond, underneath the body, often times those components did not. There is a good possibility that some of the Tbird parts houses, have that part for the Flairbirds. If not, check with those who have Flairbird parts cars, like the Bird Nest, the Bird House, and John Draxler. You can find their contact information in the Advertisements Forum. Carl Heller ~ partsetal, probably will not have that part because I think he stocks mostly Squarebirds parts.

Ray,
They didn't use rear control arms on Flairbirds. Just full size Fords like Galaxies, LTD's, Country Sedans, etc from '65 on up and Thunderbirds from '67 on up. Thunderbirds aren't considered full size Fords.

I doubt it. He'll have to scour the junkyards. Only the bushings are available. Full size Mercury's from '65-72 like the Monterrey, Montclair and Parklane also used the same lower control arm so he has a lot to choose from. The bushings fit up to '79 so they may have used those control arms later than '72.
