Hi 430, I didn't realize that was the hx according to what ray had posted the lg cruiso was 11.6". Now i'm really confused. I guess i'm going to have to do more research, and take a better look @ the pan. I think the pan had a bump on drivers side in rear. I'll check when I go up. Thanks Tommy"

Let me see if I can correct this for you, Tommy. Here are the pix I posted back on Page 4. The HX LARGE case tranny with a 11.6 measurement is for the 1961-1965 Tbirds. The HX LARGE case tranny with a 10 7/8" measurement is for the 1958-1960 Squarebirds. The MX Medium case has a measurement of 10 7/32".. It is my understanding, (correct me if I am wrong) that the OEM '58-'60 Squarebirds with the 352CI engine had the HX Medium 10 7/32" in place. The OEM HX Large 10 7/8" case was used on the 430MEL engine. Over the years, people have swapped engines and trannys for many reasons. Hopefully, this helps.

Hi Ray, I guess I have tranny that was used with the 430 mel engine 1959-1960 maybe that's why it has a cast bellhousing. Thanks for info Ray
