Ahh yes. I spent several nights in front of the TV putting all the stickers in place. I was very happy with the results. The square ones went a lot faster than the triangular ones that needed to be trimmed. Nice job.
I also purchased the sticker set for the wheel covers. They look nice, but are even more trickier to get then installed straight.

Hey guys and gals. Happy Holidays to all! It's a fun few weeks before the long grind begins.
An easy one for ya... Was the speaker grill on the center console painted black or the same color as the interior? If it matches the interior, any spray paint that comes close to the original blue?
Much appreciated John. That looks like what I'll need for a few aged pieces of my interior trim. This speaker grill is metal though, so I figured regular rattle can should suffice, instead of the vinyl paint. Whatcha think?
With unparalleled assistance from Dave Dare (simplyconnected) I gathered all parts for a disc brake conversion. This has been documented repeatedly on the forum, so I won't add where it isn't necessary. But I have followed the parts list and will follow the other threads when I'm ready to install. I'm refraining from rushing into it, so I can clean and upgrade the steering and suspension along the way.
I prepped and primed the trunk area this week. Not only to clean up the rust and seal it, but also to test my new spray guns in an inconspicuous area. I purchased the trunk board kit with the spare tire cover and locking T-bolt, along with the tote bag and mounting pins. The trunk should be done after I spray it black in a couple days. Now onto the undercarriage.
Good job, Ryan. Larry Noska recently completed his Squarebird power disk brake retrofit using the same method. I'm hoping you and he bump heads, soon.
Most of our members who retrofit power disk front brakes are not mechanics but they all get the job done. Every job is slightly different because we all have different strengths and backgrounds. Larry is retired from the telephone company. His job went well until he discovered a leak in one of his fittings. He quickly straightened that out and has enjoyed power disk brakes for months now.
Leonard Wheeler is another 'new-comer' to power front disk brakes, although he has been a Paid Member of our family for many years. He and I differ on minor points but Leonard successfully installed a working system.
Many members agree, power front disk brakes are far better than the sub-standard drum system that Ford installed. I encourage everyone to turn your Squarebird into a much safer cruiser by installing power front disk brakes and radial tires. - Dave
I have just completed that project on my 1960 Thunderbird. If you want to talk to me about the conversion just call me. My # is 208-777-2957 H 208-699-8512 C.
Good idea. I ordered some vinyl paint and it should arrive any day. I'll try that first, see how it turns out. If not, I'll powder coat it along with the wheels and whatever else I need when the time comes.
