OK everyone, let's see what you have for the following:

    1. Brand of Oil (please specify if Synthetic, regular or semi (Castrol Syntec appears to be such).

    2. Weight of Oil

    3. Mileage on your Engine

    4. Average Low and High temperature where you live.

    1) Castrol non synthetic

    2) 10W-30

    3) engine has about 4400 miles on it

    4) while I might drive the car, the temps range from 30 in the late Fall at night to 90 in midsummer - New England. Mostly the car sees mid 70s and leads an easy life.

          3. Approx 2500 miles since I re-built it completely.
          4. Temps when I am driving the car range from 50 to 90 degrees. I live in Michigan, so only driven from late spring to early fall. Otherwise, it gets really cold when in storage.

That's about identical to my situation... except NY.

Just put in Royal Purple, 15-40. This weight has twice the amount of zinc in it which is supposed to protect our cam, lifters. My car has 58,500 miles and I only drive it from May to October here in Michigan, approximately 50 to 90 degrees temp.

Castrol GTX 10-30 with a K&N oil filter (very important).
About 3000+ on rebuild and I drive only when weather is
cool (max in the 80s). Oil pressure range after warm-up
is 25 at idle upto 60+ cruising with a high volumn oil pump.
                        I take oil seriously.
