Hey Ray, The interior is looking great. Cant wait to see it with the front seats in. I was playing around with a photo stitch software that I found on line, Panorama Plus SE. It takes photos and puts them together. It does a little bending and adjusting to make them fit and its all automatic. Looky here:

Interior Work On Rose Is About Done

Hi Victor! Thanks for the photos! That is pretty cool. I am gonna have to check out that software. Yup, come the end of this week, the passenger seat might be done, and maybe the drivers side. Probably just the passenger side. There is a lot to do with the seats yet. The supports they sit on have to be cleaned, sealed and painted. Same for the frames for the seats. The foams have to installed, and then the new seat coverings. So he might get one done this week. They will not be put in, except maybe for picture taking and to see how they look, until all the touch up, clean up stuff in the interior is completed. The new steering wheel from Jed will be in this week and will be installed in the latter part of the week. After the interior is done, then comes the work on the trunk.

Now that would be something to see! A Squarebird Stretch Limo! We had better not give Penelope any ideas or the next thing we will be seeing is one of his "wedding" cars stretched!

Interior Work On Rose Is About Done

Yesterday, Danny worked on the front passenger seat. You will see the seat cover nearly ready to be put in place. Next, I guess he will do the back rest and finish off the passenger seat. After that, it will be the drivers seat to finish things off. Then he still has some things he needs to do in the way of paint touch up, paint splash cleaning, and a few other minor things. The last thing he will do in the interior is to clean the whole inside thoroughly. All during this interior build, the road out front for a mile or two has been under construction. Everything gets dust all over it. It can't be helped as long as they are working out there.

After all that, comes the work on the trunk area....

Another day of progress! The passenger seat panel is done and Danny was working on the drivers seat next. Next comes the leanto or back panels! Wait until you see the surprise Danny and I have for you with them! And something else special! Give us a week or so! Here's the link!

Interior Work On Rose Is About Done

                      Hi Cathie,

The steering wheel should be in today. Jed is sending me one of his and I will send him mine. He does great work on refurbishing these old steering wheels! It looks like it right out of the factory! It will make a big difference to get a good looking steering wheel in the car. This one really detracts from the beauty of the interior. But that should be fixed this week.

Ray, how did Danny do your gas pedal and carpeting? I was trying to get a sense from your pictures. Did he slit the carpet and lower it over the pedal? - Dave

you can unscrew the pedal from the floor and there is a hole in the carpet to compensate for the pedal rod that comes up from the floor board.

skyd is right. Since this was not pre-made carpeting for a Tbird, he just cut a small hole where the accelerator push rod comes through the carpeting, slid the rod through the carpeting and re-attached the pedal to the metal!

So, the pedal is on top of the carpet? Or, is the carpet on top of the pedal bolts?

                                Hi Dave,

I was told that the rod was slipped through a hole in the carpet. The foot pedal is on top of the carpet and it also covers the pedal bolts. All you see is carpet around the foot pedal and the foot pedal rod going through the carpet. I am going to see her, probably, in a bit, and I will take a good look.
