    My Yellow '59 Tbird Emblems

At the last meeting of the So. Texas Thunderbird Club, Lou Paliani, ex VTCI President, gave me two Tbird emblems with yellow wings! He said that they are something that he picked up a long time ago and was saving them, for some unknown reason. When he saw my Tbird, he knew the reason! He was saving them for someone with a "Tweety Bird" yellow paint job! So he gave them to me. They have to be as old or nearly as old as our Squarebirds! They were in a thin plastic cover, made somewhere in NYC, as I recall, with a zip code of 1. New York City, 1 New York, as I recall. So that gives you an idea just how old they are! So what do they look like on Yellow Rose/Tweety Bird? Look here..

Yup, they match the paint job! They have a magnet on the back so that I can put them on for display and take them off before I leave. I don't think you would want to drive with them in place because the wind would probably rip them off. I also did not want to drill that area and make them permanent. I think they look pretty neat.

              My Yellow '59 Tbird Emblems

Richard Hord made mention, either in a PM, or post somewhere, about his garage Tbird emblem. He sent me a couple of pix what it looked like, and these comments.

              "Hey Ray,
Here are some pictures of my old garage. The Thunderbird emblem has a wing span of eight feet and two feet tall. I built that whole garage by myself! I wish I could move it to our new home!!!

The emblems look great, but I'm REALLY jealous of Richard's beautiful garage! Nice work, Richard.

                  Hey Guys,
Thanks! Just wish I had the garage back. It was set up to restore old cars. My wife gave me the ultimatum, we sell this place (in the pictures) or sell the farm (twenty-five acres) I chose to keep the farm.
The people that bought the old house and garage, payed on it two years and let it go! Its been vacant since 2007. Make me want to cry every-time I see it!
                  And life goes on!!!
