I'm about to order carpet for my wife's 60 T-bird. The carpet that is in it is faded so bad I can't tell the original color. It's trim code 84, tan leather. Should I order Dark Saddle or Brown? Also, should it be nylon loop or 80/20 loop? Thanks in advance for all your help.

Carpet Color Trim Code 84
Clayton, here is what Automotive Mile Posts says about the 1960 Trim Code 84. Click on the Interior Trim link when you bring up this webpage on the 1960 Squarebird.

GENUINE LEATHER BOLSTERS AND INSERTS
TRIM CODE 84
COLOR BOLSTERS/INSERTS
Tan/Tan (Light Beige)
Thunderbird's optional leather interior shown above in Tan (trim code 84). Notice the seat and side trim panel pattern differs from the interior trim patterns used with other upholstery materials.
The genuine leather upholstery pattern for 1960 differed from that of previous models, and also did not match the upholstery patterns for the cloth and vinyl, nor the all-vinyl interiors. The pattern utilized for the genuine leather interior was of a vertical pleated design, which extended to the door trim panels and the rear quarter trim panels. The only color selection in leather that featured a contrasting color was the code 84 Tan interior. The instrument panel, panel console, carpeting, and the section of the door trim panels that surrounds the metal trim are all a Dark Beige with this particular trim code only.
Here is the picture from that web page and you can see the side panels are Dark Tan and the seats are Light Beige Tan. Trim Code 84 words for Tan are shown in the actual color of Tan and the Light Beige Tan if that helps. As to the nylon or 80/20 loop, someone else is going to have to answer that question.Attached Files

I believe you want Fawn/Sandlewood. That's what I was told when I ordered carpet for my '60 with tan interior. You want 80/20 loop rayon.
