    Does a C-6 trans bolt in to my 63 Tbird. Need to replace or rebuild the cruisomatic.

    The answer is yes and no. The C6 will bolt up to the motor but you will have to modify the transmission mount. I'm not sure about the drive shaft. Maybe someone else can answer that question. It's not a straight swap.

      It will, drive shaft is direct swap.

        C-6 swap

        Thanks for the info and pics. Also what about a C-4. Im Going to stay stock on the engine replacement, will a C-4 go in as well.

          Here is what wikipedia has to say about the C-4. I would think, based on what is said here, that you would be better off going the C-6 route.

            C4 would not be strong enough to manage the torque of the FE engine, at least without lots of work.

            Stick with the tried and true C6.
