video material - 1960 Stainless Squarebird

    hi everyone!

I stumbled on a collection of video shots of one of the 1960 stainless steel Squarebirds on Youtube. They may be found at

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

They include a shot of the car being assembled as well as a date of delivery to the Ford assembly line.

Since we are approaching the 50th Anniversary of the last Squarebirds, I thought people might find this interesting.

Lots of links to many of the original Tbird commercials - cool - thanks - the one with the great dane shows a '60 sunroof with air and and a trunk mounted antenna - wish we had the vin to see if it is registered. Probably very few made with all those options.

The SS car looks a little better in the sun than in the museum but SS and chrome just don't do much for me - of course I know it wasn't produced as a public offering but just a show car for the SS. IMHO the best shot of the SS car is at the coast in the sand which gives it a gold color.

Eric, I agree. The photo of any number member's cars with the chrome contrasting a first rate paint job like red or turquoise is far more striking.

This car is more a interesting historical footnote. Also, where we had a considerable discussion here that grew from the "Last Squarebird" discovery last year (see http://www.squarebirds.org/vbulletin...ight=stainless) , the photo of assembly and also the date might interest some people.

PS Ray, my apologies. While digging around in Squarebirds, I discovered that you found the same Youtube link 2 years ago!! I shoulda known!!!
