    sun visors

Having trouble installing sun visor brackets after replacing headliner. I didn't realize they weren't interchangeable until I read some of the posts. The part numbers on my brackets are BAP6304122-AW and BAP6304123-AW. Anyone know which is left and which is right? Thanks

Hi Ken, here is what I know about this. BAP6304122-AW should be the right hand bracket and 04123 the left hand one. On Fords I have been told that any number ending in an even number is a right hand part. Any number ending in an odd number is a left hand part. Perhaps not alway, but it seems so. Looking at the Bird Nest catalog, which does NOT have those Ford numbers listed, they do have these numbers as their part numbers for the Squarebirds. 04144A (RH), 04145A (LH). Soo, try that. If the holes line do not line up, try the other one, because the holes will only line up when you have right bracket on the correct side, so I am told.

Thanks Ray. That helps and I will make another attempt.

I mixed them up too. They will only really fit one way though. Check the way they swing and the curve of the trim around them. It makes sense after a few minutes.

This is an example of labeling parts that are taken off during our restorations. When it comes time to reassemble after a project is completed,it is easier to identify. In some cases pictures are also good, as our Webmaster ( Simplyconnected ) says on the reinstall.

Amen to that, Dano. I've worn out cameras because of my C.R.S. syndrome.

I take hundreds of pictures from many angles as I go through a task. Even so, just when I need to see a certain 'something' many times I didn't get that shot. Sometimes I can blow up a picture to see detail I never noticed.

Pictures really help because the same topics come up from time to time with different members.

Is this re-installing stock parts for repros? My repros look OK once in and screwed down, but they were a bear to get in as the main curvature is just no the same as the stock one's.
