What the smile bar I am new My bumper (59) has a chrome strip lining the main bumper mouth with transitions to Horizontal bars. Yes it only goes around the lower part making it a smile. Are all the years the same -- the parts books reference the same numbers but show different one each year. How much and do you know any one in the Hampton Roads area of Virginia (lonely here)

I looked at a friends's 1958 "smile" and compared it to my 1960. It looks pretty much the same. I will compare my 1959 next weekend.

I need some nice, and good switches for the power windows on my 60 Bird. Would you have these?

Okiehog, Visit www.tbird.org you will find links on this site to most Venders, I purchased my window switches from Pat Wilsons, not new put in show condition for $80.00. Please note the 60 switches are White not Black like the 58s.
Most Venders are now supplying the crome surround for the switch housing but new repro switches should be on the market next year.

I recently refurbished the steering wheel on my 1960 tbird. While re-assembling the steering whel to the drive shaft I accidently broke the circular plastic "ring" that indicates what gear you are in. The horn "spring" mounts on this". I am willing to pay $30 if someone will sell me a good condition one of these.

I'm in the same boat. Let me know if you find a supplier. Or one you don't want.

Response to an old post .. I know ...

With the 60 bumper I got for my 58, I noticed that the smile bars are indeed different.

The 58's edge is squared off at the corners, while the 60's is tapered. Not sure about the 59's -- don't have one to compare.
