    Crankshaft sleeve removal

It appears that there are two crankshaft sleeves used on the 352 FE. One that is stepped and one that is not. Two questions: How is each of these removed with what kind of puller, and also is it necessary to pull them to get timing cover and timing set replaced? Thanks!

First you have to remove the three bolts that hold the power steering pulley and take that off. Then the large bolt that holds the balancer/damper in place. You will need a harmonic balancer puller to get the damper off. I borrowed one from Autozone. Once you get that off the sleeve will come off the crank pretty easily. Then you can get the timing cover off.
