    Vent window glass removal

Just ordered a used drivers side vent window from Carl, but it comes with clear glass, while mine is slightly tinted. Is there anything special to the removal of the glass from the vent window frame, without damaging anything?

I use a propane torch. If the installation is original, gently heat the glass, going over the entire surface. Give the heat time to spread.

Eventually, the edges will soften. Grab the glass with a rag and simply pull. The glass will slide right out. - Dave

Thanks Dave. What would you use for the installation?

We use 'air-cure' urethane at Ford. Chrysler uses 'two-part' urethane. Either works well. Preparation is the key to success. - Dave
