hood release bar to cable

I am hoping that you can help us. We have a 1962 Thunderbird Landeau. We have almost completely restore it now for our problem.

We can't figure out how to connect the hood release cable from inside the car to the hood release bar in the front of the radiator. Do you have any directions or instructions on how to get this cable connected.

Thank you so very much for your help. I have called Ford, gone to the public library and searched the internet with no results. You are my last hope. We have even tried to find another 62 Thunderbird to see how it is connected but there are none in our area.
