    Diff Flange

I did my first road test today and checked my rear universal and it had a lot of gap between the cross and the caps,,So to take up the gap i tapped the caps in which moves the caps inward away from the nibs and the end of the flange,,,,

correct uni 5-1200x spicer or 5-153x fitted i think u guys call it a 429 precision

cap to nib measurement is about .157 inch (4 to 5mm) a side is this ok to have the caps not sitting hardup to the nibs

i amsume that a new yoke should measure 3.219 (81.76mm) between the nibs same as the measurement across the new uni with caps on? mine measures 3.622 (91.99mm)

does anyone no the partnumber of the diff flange for a 1959 bird
    ?

Both front and rear U-joints are the same part, and they should have no slop.

i think ive found the problem

      i have a 1330 series flange ! 3.625 " across the caps

and the uni to suit is

      Dana Spicer 1310 to 1330 Conversion U-joint 5-134x

One Dana Spicer 1310 to 1330 conversion u-joint allows you to retain factory driveshaft when installing heavier axles
