    RE: headlamp switch

The knob needs to be all the way in when you push that little brass button on the side to pull it out. It can be a bear. Sometimes you need to do it a few times before the knob lets loose.

      Tony,
When you refit the headlight knob you need to push it back in until you hear a CLICK sound and then adjust the knob left or right for brightness of the dome lights on the dash.

Once the shaft is removed you can use a flat head screwdiver and turn the dash bezel to remove the headlight switch.
If you are removing the headlight switch as you have no dome/centre console lights then a new switch should repair the problem

        Tony,
I forgot to say, to push in that little button you sure need SMALL fingers and to do this job you really need to lie down in the foot well to get the best access.
        Kev.

It makes it a lot easier to see what's going on if you remove the temp/gas gauge. Then you can look down through there while getting at it with the screw driver from underneath.

          Good luck,
          Mel

Since you've got a hot lead out there in the open and metal places for it to short out on, you might want to disconnect the battery during the job.

Ditto on removing the Temp gauge - it helps!
