    Power Booster "Moaning"

I accidentally removed this thread trying to edit out my Welcome comments. John, would you mind re-posting your comments to him? Thanks.

    Thank you for the welcome.
I am not sure where to post my question, so here goes:
I have a 1961 T-Bird with power brakes. Every time I press the brake pedal, a "moaning" sound comes from under the hood, near the power brake booster. Anyone know how to correct it?

If you can pinpoint the noise to the booster then most likely it is leaking vacuum internally. The only fix is to have it rebuilt or replaced. You can try replacing the check valve but I doubt that will fix it.

      Power booster

Thank you for your response. This sound is coming from the power booster that I just purchased (rebuilt). But I will try replacing the check valve.

It could be just a bad rebuild. I would contact the place you bought it from.
