I'll post a shot of the ID plate, But the roof is Fiesta Red, as is the interior, the body will be shot in a Polize White, which I understand was a special order color, kind of a French cream white. Our 58 Squarebird is Polize White.

Charles very elegant 58 convert and I see that has AC as well. My wife's 58 HT is Colonial White and has the same stance as yours with the original drum brakes. She drives it all over the place with her girlfriends and gets lots of looks.
The 56 should look stunning in that color combo and look forward to more pixs as you progress.

If you go with the Unisteer brand steering rack system you end up making a whole lot of changes to the steering column to make it fit and work for your 55-57 bird, and the hardest part is retaining the telescopic feature. Here's our new in shop built shaft. Just not a Baby Bird with out this feature.
I'll do a build up on the whole column when the parts come back from the chrome shop.

Couldn't stand looking at all the extra brackets on the A/C compressor so I cut them off, now it's a Y-Block Compressor.
And started working on the steering column again.

Just a little more work, re chromed steering column parts, reworked steering wheel. Cluster reworked and painted 3 different colors. white, semi black, semi Fiesta Red
                      Also the clock.

Using a flashlight to light the instrument panel to see it lighted up. One more task on the list to check off.
Didn't like the red colored plastic on the gen and oil lights so we made our own out of red film that's used to do wraps on cars and trucks, it was cheap the wrap place gave me a square foot for free. But took a few days to come up with a film that would look just right day or night.
