I think your right, I'm going to replace that first and see what happens. It just seemed strange that it was fine after I pulled the coil wire. Maybe just a coincidence.

Ignition question

Took my girl out for a drive last weekend, went to shut off the car and she wouldn't shut off. Got her home pulled the coil wire (ouch) after that it would start and stop with no problem. Any ideas?...

Thanks guys I will definitely do those tests, I found out last night that it will start and run by itself. So I have been using a battery disconnect. (waiting for the lights and the radio to come)...

Thanks for your reply Dave. This only happens when the voltage drops on the battery. If the battery is fully charged everything is normal.

I did remove the vacuum pump for the oil pump. I did find that in my manaul. I was trying to see how they hook up by the fire wall.
