Vintage tag repainting

Stripped and repainted the '59 tag.
Alabama lets you use a matching year tag as your permanant tag.
Mine was getting rusty, so decided to try a resoration myself.
Etching primer after about 4 strip...

Is really sticky stuff, and is still flexable on mine after factory installed 30 years ago.
Very tough to separate two panels sealed with it.

You may pull from the valve covers and put a filtered breather on the other side, but be sure to block or filter your vent tube, or it would pull in dirty air with a PCV valve on the valve cover.
