After 2 years, this install is still working great and it always gets approval when I pull out the remote to unlock it. I really need to do it for the trunk too.

I,m not sure what is not working on your doors, but I just put elect solenoids on my 60 bird with remote buttons to have elect locks. You can see my pictures of how I did it. I bought a kit on E-Bay...
