Question on suspension re-finishing 1961 Tbird
 
Hi Fellow Birders,

Just wanted to know the correct finish for the following parts for 1961 Thunderbird.
Lower front coil spring saddles,
strut rods,
drag link,
and front spindles.

You may find the answer to your question on John Draxler's Thunderbird Ranch website. Go to it, slide down the left side to Concours Specs for the 1961-1963 Bulletbird..

Hi Ray,,

No luck there.

I think that a lot of the suspension and steering parts were originally black.
I have powdercoated the upper and lower control arms a semi gloss black.as well as the sway bar,front suspension upper bumper bracket,inner fender shields.

The one person that can probably answer your questions is Alan Tast. Alan is one of the best Tbird experts in the world, if not THE best!
