2018 Squarebirds.org Calendar

I am pleased to announce that there will be a 2018 Squarebirds.org Calendar this year after all! For the last two years, it has been a struggle to come up with enough qualified entries to consider, but I did! So many of our Forum members have already had their Tbirds selected since I have been doing this these last nearly 10 years! Again this year, there were several candidates that I could not consider because their photographs were not in the proper format that would allow them to be used in a calendar. For those who want to be considered for 2019, please read the thread in the Anything Goes Forum on Squarebird Calendar Picture Guidelines.

The calendar will again be printed by Create Photo Calendars, who have provided me with terrific assistance in putting it together, at decent costs. I will published detailed information on how to go about ordering a complete, hole punched and bound calendar shortly. I am awaiting my final proof of the calendar before I publish the ordering information. It is my intention to again publish the calendar in the Anything Goes Forum as I did last year, at Dave's ~ simplyconnected suggestion. When I do, it can be downloaded and printed out for FREE by those who want to print it out one month at a time, or the complete calendar. If the latter, I would suggest using a stiffer paper (the calendar is printed on 90lb paper), take it to Office Depot, Staples, Kinkos, etc., and have them hole punch and bind it for you. I have no idea how much they might charge to do that. I can tell you this though. This company has provided the lowest pricing yet that I have been able to find to do the printing for us and handle the entire transaction for me! I think you are going to love the cost and the quality...

Thank you to all of those who worked with me to get me good pictures to consider. There will certainly be a few surprises this year again, as there often are!

2018 Squarebirds.org Calendar

I am pleased to announce that the 2018 Squarebirds.org Calendar is available for ordering or downloading and printing. I want to thank all of those who provided me with the photographs of their Tbirds that allowed me to select them to produce another Squarebirds.org Calendar. This is the 11th year that I have created the Calendar, after taking over when Alexander Sosiak, our Founder, passed away. Once again, I have attempted to keep the price as low as possible for you. This year, again, the Calendar will be available through Create Photo Calendar. They have provided me with excellent assistance, as has our Fantastic Webmaster, Dave Dare ~ simplyconnected. The cost this year will be $13.00 plus shipping costs. Here in the USA, it cost me $5.95 for shipping, keeping the total cost below $20. The cost for shipping overseas will be more expensive and if you order from Create Photo Calendars, the website should tell you the cost for shipping before you finalize the order.

Once again, you will find the Calendar available to those who choose to print it out for FREE. Look in the Anything Goes Forum, Past & Present Squarebirds Calendars, Post #8 for it. You can right click on the file to download it to your PC. You will be able to print it one month at a time, or the complete calendar and then take it to an Office Supply store and have them put it together for you. I have no idea if you will be able to save any money by going that route though. Here is the link to Create Photo Calendars to place your order. I hope you once again enjoy the latest Squarebirds.org Calendar!

2018 Squarebirds.org Calendar ~ Update

After doing some tweaking on the 2018 Squarebirds Calendar, I received my final proof yesterday. I am pleased with the results and let Create Photo Calendars know. As a result, yesterday, their website shows that they have printed and shipped the first 9 calendars ordered. So those of you who did order from them should be getting your calendars in a few more days. Please let me know what you think of the quality of them. For those who wish to order calenders, below is the link to use. Calendars are $13 US this year, plus shipping and handling. It comes in a good, sturdy mailing envelope. Note that their website is a Secure website.

If you have ordered a calendar to be printed, please let me know in a PM or email so I can keep up with orders. So far, six people have.

Hi Peter! Thank you for letting me know that you received the 2018 Squarebirds Calendar and are pleased with it! Congratulations on your 1958 Squarebird being selected for the Month of March, 2018! That is quite the background you put her in front of! Normally, I do not select Tbirds that has anything in the background that takes the attention away from the Tbird. However, that was so well posed that the car still keeps your attention! Well done!

Hi Dan
This is the interior of my 58.I think it was refurbished in the early 90's
The car was photographed at Hengrave Hall
Thanks
Peter

Peter, thanks for the picture of the black & white interior. It looks to be in excellent condition. Thank you also for the history of Hengrave Hall! It was fascinating reading, and having climbed and roamed over some of the castles of England and Scotland in past years, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the history of that fabulous looking Hall. I noticed at the end of the article that the present owner may be taking that distinguished building in another direction. I would hope it would be left as it is now....

Hi Martin, ~ OUR5T8BIRD, thanks for letting me know that you received both calendars... and that one is a collectors item! I am pleased that you like them. I must say that thanks to Martin and Carol Brugmans, & my local Tbird Club member, & Forum member, Stan Andrews, we would not have had a 2018 Squarebirds Calendar if they had not sent me pix of all the Tbirds they own... Tbirds who have not graced the pages of past calendars already are becoming harder and harder to come by. Next year might really be a challenge....

Dan Leavens 11-24-2017 08:30 AM

The current owner of the hall is David Harris who has submitted plans to convert the existing building into private housing. It is currently used for wedding receptions and other functions.

Peter that's an interesting read about Hengrave Hall and I agree with Ray hopefully it can be preserved? My wife's 58 interior is blue & white but no AC.

2018 Squarebirds.org Calendar

Martin ~ OUR5T8BIRD just told me that it cost him just under $12 US for handling and shipping to Canada for 2 calendars. That is about the same cost for handling and shipping to me for the proofs that I ordered. It cost me $5.99 per calendar for handling and shipping and probably applies to the cost anywhere in the US and Canada. Overseas is a horse of a different color though... An example of what it might cost to ship to Europe, is that one of our members in Sweden ordered and the approximate cost for handling and shipping of 1 calendar each was $7.66 US. These calendars make excellent Christmas gifts, and you still have time to get your orders in, printed and to you well before Christmas!

On another subject, I am interested in finding out how many of you have downloaded and printed out (or will come the New Year) the calendar, month by month, or all at one time, for the entire year. I see that the option of making it available on the Forum has dropped the initial ordering and printing sales down considerably... Please let me know either here, or in email or a PM.
