Power steering noise

Ok guys, need some help. My '63 started making noises after a long run in hot weather. Found fluid to be foaming. Previous owner changed pump out and replaced all lines. No leaks anywhere. One crazy thing it does one in a while is while starting the car the windshield wipers operate once. No I am not loosing it. Could there be air in the lines somewhere. Using Type A fluid . Been fine but never put through any extreme conditions before. Kinda puzzled.

Your windshield wipers work off the power steering pump so it's not unusual to see them move while starting the car. Your wiper cable could be slightly out of adjustment or your wiper motor may be going bad. Air in the lines can be easily removed by turning the steering wheel from lock to lock a few times with the motor running.

What do you mean by " Type A fluid ? Only Type F ( Ford ) is available now and that is getting hard to find . Have experienced some suppliers saying types A ( Automatic ) is o/k but have had experienced Dexron in Ford transmissions and power steering causing some foaming .
