power window relay
can any three tab relay work for the windows, such as horn relay. I was told it would. mine is mia. p. o. removed it and spliced all three wires together. I think the best way is to use a relay, don't want any fires;) thanks larry.

If your new relay has contacts heavy enough for the load, yes.

Modern cars have many relays and most of them will work as a substitute for old (obsolete) relays. EBay is a popular source for automotive relays, too.

The prices everyone is asking for original relays is out of sight for many of us, especially when modern low-cost relays are available. For example, eBay offers 30-amp relays including a base for a few dollars. I would use those to replace my window, seat, horn or convertible top relays. - Dave
