"Hi Ray, Up at Kaikoura (say: Ky Coo Ra) on a fine spring day in our F100 'Fat Cat' for the annual Kaikoura Hop, first time there for us. The pic is of my wife Christine taking a photo of the shoreline that prior to the recent massive earthquake was completely under the sea, some sections of the coast were lifted more than 24 feet by the quake! No Thunderbirds here yet but if any turn up I'll shoot you a photo or two of them.
Regards, Tom."

Here is the pic he sent me!

I'm not a 'truck guy' but I really like Scumdog's. The colo(u)rs are awesome, eh mate?

I've been in phone-contact with the Wheeler brothers down there in Dallas area. Leonard is still raving about his Kiwi trip and the hospitality Christine & Tom showed to Debbie & Leonard. Ahhh, someday... Maybe if I hit the lottery, I'll tell Robin to pack her bags, 'cause we're going to visit that beautiful Land of the Long White Cloud (and Australia). - Dave

It is really a nice truck. Tom has had it for many years now. There's a reason Fat Cat has wheelie bars!

If I did my conversion right, Tom told me he paid $9.43 per US gallon of fuel. He said that prices had spiked and they would probably blame it on the hurricanes.

"Hi Ray, Well disappointment Thunderbird-wise here at the Kaikoura Hop, this is the only Thunderbird I have seen so far! So I thought I'd throw in these other pics of cars you won't see in the US. (Aussie members of Squarebird would recognise them!) Hundreds of cars here, everything from '59 Ford retractable to '41 Willys coupe - but where are all the Thunderbirds? Regards Tom."

I received an email from Tom ~ scumdog title "Blood, Sweat & Tears". Here is what he had to say, and also a couple of pix...

"Hi Guys, With our hot rod clubs 40th Anniversary this weekend I thought I had better give the ol' F100 a make over- this is the result of my effort on the motor and engine bay. It's the first REAL detail job I've done on 'Fat Cat' for years, a lot of effort but pretty satisfying. Regards from sunny Balclutha. Tom"

Here are the two pix he sent me, one of the engine bay and one of the interior. A really nicely detailed engine bay and interior! Good job, Tom!

Tom sent me more pix of the show he was attending. Here is what he had to say and the pix..

"Hi Guys, As you can see our show is indoors. Our photographer is taking photos of each car as it arrives between the two cars that have been in Delta Rodders the longest, my F100 and Jay Galogs Dodge bucket. The visiting hot rodders will then be able to purchase a copy of a photo with their car in it
More pics later on! Tom".

Here are the pix.
