Rear Shock Absorbers
Someone please verify I assembled the rear shocks of my 1960 correctly. I lost track of the old ones and how the washers and grommets sandwiched.
I placed the rubber washers against the lower mounting bracket as the top of the shocks. These seem to fit the holes and position the shock absorber perfectly. In other words from the bottom up:
Nut/Washer/Grommet/Mount/Grommet/Washer/Shock/Washer/Trunk floor mount/Grommet/Washer/Nut.
All torqued to 15 Ft-Lbs.
And it seems the front uppers just can't be torqued to 25 without squishing the grommet to a pancake.

Thank you John. I got it right, but it's easy to screw up that order and doubt yourself.
Strange that you can purchase premium front shocks from several manufacturers, but I could only find Monroe for the rear.
