NO Squarebirds 2017 Calendar??

From what it looks like, there will NOT be a Squarebirds Calendar this year... Unless you get your pictures into me shortly... I only have 5 Tbirds out of 13 possibles that qualify. The rest are either to small in file size, or poorly posed to be considered for the Calendar. There is still time to submit your pix if you want to see a Calendar for 2017. If I can get 7 more qualifying candidates between now and the middle of November, I can probably still put a Calendar together. Please see the Anything Goes Forum on tips on what settings to use on your camera and how to pose the Tbird well for Calendar consideration. Here is the link to that thread. Check Post #1. This Calendar is open to ALL years of Tbirds as long as you are a user/member of this Forum and your Tbird has not been selected in the past.

Both my Birds made the calendar in Oct 2012 - will you allow repeat offenders???

I still have my calendars but really feel others need to participate!! (Especially since I do not have a "Squarebird")

Get it together guys and send in pictures!!!!!

NO Squarebirds 2017 Calendar??

Hi Joe, IF push comes to shove... I MIGHT consider doing a special Calendar for 2017 featuring some of the more outstanding Tbirds of past Calendars. I have ALL the pix that have been used in the past and could do that if I have to. I would rather have those who have not been selected in the past though. Maybe something that confuses people is that we call it the Squarebirds Calendar. It was initially, just for Squarebirds when Alexander started it, years ago, because, in the beginning, that is all we had was Squarebirds. Now the Forum covers all the years and that is why I put a notice in all the major Tbird sub-Forums. The logo on each Calendar page does say Squarebirds.org, not just Squarebirds. I have no problem with featuring any year of Tbird ever made. This is the best chance anyone has ever had of being selected and featured in the Calendar. In the past, it has always been a matter of having to many candidates and having to hold some over to next year to be selected. Not this year, for whatever reason. Let's see what happens..

How many years have you produced calendars?

A revisit would be interesting or also would be neat to feature every other month a car from another country.

NO Squarebirds 2017 Calendar??

Joe, as I recall, it was 2008 after Alexander passed away that I took over the production of the Calendar. At first, it featured only Squarebirds, and then we added more years of Tbirds to the Forum, and I started getting a wider variety of Tbirds. Then we started getting more pictures from our overseas Tbird owners. Several months after each years Calendar came out, I later posted them online for all who did not order one could see them. They can all be seen in the Anything Goes Forum. I also feature the Tbird Of The Month thread where I show whose Tbird is featured for that month on the Forum. As you can see, if you go to Anything Goes, this month it is the "Ghost Of Halloween", as I called it, '60 Squarebird of Eric Taylor!

Ray.

The Squarebird calendar is an annual tradition that you have graciously kept going and would be a shame to not continue. Marg and I have all the copies since the inception, as it is neat to see all the various TBirds around the world of our members. I have a copy in my office both at home and the office and receive great compliments of these classics. You may use pics of our TBirds if you would like as I believe you have on file.

I would agree that you should use some of the older pics using some of the current submissions to complete the 2017 calendar.
As Joe stated come on members, take the time and get some pics to Ray so he can showcase your classic in this years calendar.

NO Squarebirds 2017 Calendar??

Dano, thanks for your comments. So far, I have received one more commitment and should have pix for that on shortly. If I don't receive any more, I will consider going back and pick what I think are some of the best posed Tbirds from past years... However, that would be a last choice... Just to keep the Calendar going.

I have new wheels on my Flairbird - you could pretend it's a different car Ray!

Tom - new wheels - :D - that does make it a new car.

Ray - x2 with Dan - I like the idea of a "best of" calendar. Could even post a link to all the pics and have everyone vote on the previous pictures - but hopefully you'll get a few new submissions.

Eric
