That LED gets wired to the harness coming out of the proportioning valve.

If I happen to loose braking pressure, that LED will let me know about it. I'll mount it somewhere inconspicuous on the dash or console.

Found it!

Marcelo - if you don't want this info in your thread just let me know and I'll delete it and put it in a different post.....I understand completely - no big deal.

After almost EXACTLY 8 years (date on one receipt was 4/22/04) I located most of the parts info I used on my disc conversion.

Master Cyl - Advance Auto - p/n 10-1518 - receipt was too faded to read on the price. For a '75 Lincoln Mark V
Booster - new purchase and modifed by Power Brake Booster exchange for the 2 stud master cyl (61-64 Lincoln front - standard Tbird rear section) - $275ish including core charge and modification.
Rotors - Advance Auto - Wearever - p/n YH141086 - $44ea - standard Granada
Calipers - NAPA? - no receipt - Raylock p/n 4000? very faded not sure on # , the other was p/n 4001 standard Granada calipers.
Flex Lines - Master Power Brakes - HS88520K - $60 - not a perfect fit to Granada calipers had to grind off a small amount of the caliper edge to make the banjo connection seat in the orientation I wanted. http://www.mpbrakes.com/uploads/prod...STALLATION.pdf
Combo Valve - Master Power Brakes - VL3350 - $100 No mention of the residual valve in the combo valve but my brakes work perfectly so I won't add one or change anything - that's how good they work. http://www.mpbrakes.com/uploads/prod...0_Rev10_07.pdf
Banjo Bolts - Baker Precision Products (bakerprecision.com) - 150/977522 .... 7/16 -24 $12
Pads - NAPA - TS TS7027AM - $15
Purchased all the lines from NAPA too then changed the ends on a few to make it all work.

Friday night project: Got my brake calipers, drums and rotors painted with POR-20 hi-temp manifold gray.

NYsquarebird58 04-30-2012 12:25 AM

I got a late start on the brakes this weekend. I was able to put in a few hours today and at least get my rotors on.

Good job, Marcelo! So far everything looks great. I see they changed your upper ball joint, so someone was maintaining this car 'right and proper'. - Dave

X2 on Daves comments - looking great - I didn't notice the new upper ball joint that Dave caught (has bolts - originals had rivets). I was looking at the sway bar bushings - most of the time they are gone and just the bolt is rattling around in the bar.

I like how you are taking time to protect all the parts with a fresh coat of paint - going to make it last.....

Sure wish that Scarebird stuff had been available 8 years ago - would have made life much easier....
