    Edelbrock Performer RPM

Next spring I will be installing a new 390 long block in the Thunderbird...the 352 is worn out. I will also be making some other modifications at the same time. The new long block has a mild performance cam installed.

I have purchased and will be instlling shorty headers and a 2 1/2' exhaust, 600cfm Edelbrock carb and a Edelbrock Performer RPM intake manifold. My question is, will there be a hood clearence problem due to the intake manifold.

    Thanks for your help.

I would think that you should be able to fit the new carb as you can fit a pancake type air filter so the hood will shut. I have seen a 600cfm on a fe block and its not that much higher than the original so let mw know how you get on.
