    Brake Light Stop Switch

Hello, I am once again reaching out to all who can help me with (steps) on how to replace a brake light stop switch on a 1964 thunderbird. I checked the manual, it wasn't much help. If someone has done one before that would be appreciated. I can't seem to find a way to remove this switch, such an awkward position.

    Thanks

Are you talking about the brake light switch on the front of the master cylinder? It's not that difficult to replace. It's certainly much easier than the one on the brake pedal that they went to in 1965. If you can't get access to it remove the fender brace that goes from the shock tower to the cowl.

      Brake Light stop switch

Hi John, that's the one on the master. I tried using sockets, wrenches etc......something has to be removed, but I don't know which. I will try yours. Somehow its interfering with the fittings connected to the brake reservoir. Can't get a tool to fit in there.
