Here is how to take off your rear bumper. It is good to have someone helping you because it is not light! Also where the seals are located on the rear bumper. Here are a couple of pix.

You don't happen to have a schematic of how the license plate holder is put together do you? I took it apart to paint it months ago and can't figure out how to get it back together! -
I did this last year and did it the opposite way. I let all the brackets stay in the car so the bumper came on in the same position, because there is play in avery single bolt there. It was tricky, and it was tight to get the tools in, and I was only able to move the tool very, very little at the time, but it did work fine. Should have adopted the same tactics in the front, as that one have moved...
The licence plate is pretty strait forward, and I donīt recall any problems at all as it is a part of the bracket for the bumper itself.Last edited by Anders; February 7, 2012, 05:49 PM.Comment

Those schematics were written for mechanics in the early 60's, not us guys 50 years later still wrenching on these relics.
I got my rear bumper to "line up" better by having a very large Norwegian (Yes, a real Norwegian, not just some guy with a Norwegian name) neighbor stand on one end while I tightened the bolts underneath!
A guy could smack that same Norwegian with a large club, and he would just smile at you. Then you should run away. Fast.Comment
