'58 Rear Shocks Correct Length

Mike, at Tbird Hqs sent me an email asking me this. Can anyone give him the correct answer?

"Hi Ray

Can you get for me the correct length of the rear shocks on a 1958 bird Installed setting on the wheels at ride height from mount to mount? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

That is not easy to measure as the car is so low that you canīt get under to measure it. The car needs to be on a lift if you want the car to stand on the wheels.

Plus, finding one that doesn't have all the bushings, etc worn all out so it isn't sitting at normal height is also hard to find.

Somewhere I have the model of the kyb shock we put on mine, I just took in an old shock and we matched it up with a shock in the book that matched it.
