    Gold in my gauges

Any ideas on what a person can do to clean up the gold in my gauge to make them look new again? Was the centers A bronze color or were they a brass or gold color. I have 3 speedometer and and they are all a little differant and the best one out of the three the gold is a little worn and I try to clean it and it started coming off. The clock is a lite gold color and the fuel gauge and speedometer are a bronze color. which is right. Thanks Barry

    RE: Gold in my gauges

The centers of the guages, speedometer and clock were gold colored. There is probably some variation in color during production. The clock centers can be silver or gold color. There is no explantion for this inconsistency.

I have not attempted to clean any of my instrument faces. You must be careful if you do attempt to clean the faces as the lettering easily comes off with even the most mild cleaners.
