    Maybe a nwew member ?

Allthough 'ya all know that I dio not have a squarebird, never had one & probably will never have one....that said, yesterday I saw parked a nice example and I pulled over & put a note on the windshield with this club's URL, and added, come & visit.
It was a 1960 (3 taillamps) and was bright red with a white (2-tone) roof, and factory stock full wheel covers. A 2-Dr hardtop, not a 'Vert. It looked very respectable.

    Maybe a new member ?

    Thanks, Sandy!

I will have to look closely at the next few new members that show up to see if your advertising of the Forum paid off! If I see someone from New Jersey sign up, I will find out what color and year Tbird they have!

BTW, there is a flyer that I created for the purpose of doing what Sandy did! I think it is in Anything Goes. If I can find it, I will edit this and post the link to it so you can print it out and use it in situations like that.

That's pretty nice - but 'ya know I'd never have one with me!
I was pretty shocked to see one. I don't think I've seen a Square Bird out in the elements in at least 5 to 6 years. It looked to be in very good-to-excellent condition. I am pretty sure it was NOT the original color of red, that was used on these cars, when new. It was parked in customer parking at a highway "Best Buy" store...(My least favorite store in the USA....I will never shop there again...ever !) But, that's where I spotted her. The ONLY reason I spotted her was there was some kinda traffic tie up and I was looking to my right to see if any clowns were cruising the road's shoulder, should I not turn into them, as I wanted to take the next right, ahead some 125 feet, and get off. It was then i spotted her in the lot, so....I made the turn off and went into B.B. paking lot to see the 'Bird. I drove a circle around her - looking and then parked and wrote out the note & placed it on the winshield wiper. I looked to see if she had factory A/C (hey....'ya never know.... NO AIR) and looked her over quickly, got back in my Town Car and head home the longer but constintly moving route.

SandyBoy you are a gentleman & a scholar for soliciting a possible new member. You never know maybe your town car will be parked and a TBIRD will " circle the wagons "

Oh, I AM on the Town Car board on the Web. I'm a big @#&^ over there!
I was just SO surprised to actually SEE one, out in the wilds.
The full disc wheel covers were from a 1959 Ford - is THAT correct??
The seats, I believe they were vinyl - 2-tone red & white. It had a padded dash I recall and a deck mount swept rearward antenna. Wide WW tires, too.
But...the Red...the red was wrong. It was a shade of two - too dark for a "red - red" The roof was OEM Corinthian White or Snowshue White which ever they called it in 196O. It was rust-free, totally.
