    Shift dial identity

hI can anyone tell me on my '62 what the green dot on the shift dial means is it overdrive? because I don't notice any difference between the two gears.
    Thanks

The green dot identifies the D1 position. That is the normal driving position that starts in first gear. The other position is D2 which starts in second gear.

I see the one before the green dot and one after it. What is the one selection before the green dot?

If you read my previous post it will answer your question.

Thx for the reply,So that means there is no difference in RPM between D1 green DOT and the first dot after neutral ?

The RPM won't be any different. Since you are starting in second gear it will take a longer time before you notice the first shift (from second to third).
