Has anyone who is over 6 ft tall try to adjust the seat further back than factory settings. Before I restored the interior of my 62 I didn't like how close I was to the steering wheel and thought it had to be adjusted so after i restored the seats with leather and cleaned and painted all the hardware and checked the mechanism and realized it couldn't go back any further I reinstalled the driver's seat and drove like that for a year and I really don't like the position has anyone successfully move the seat back further.

62 Moving Power driver's seat further back.
Hi Gas, got your PM and glad that worked out for you. IF the Bulletbird seats are like the Squarebird seats, there are two sets of holes in the bottom of the frame that bolts to the floor. In the Squarebird, you can use the two forward holes to bolt the chair to the floor which will put it several inches back. However, anyone in the back seat is going to lose some leg room. But if no one sits back there, no big deal. Hopefully, John ~ jopizz or someone else will come along and be able to tell you if there are two sets of hole in the Bulletbird seat frames...

Hi Gas, rather than drilling new holes in the floor, why not drill those two new holes in the bottom of the seat frame! Say about 2-3 inches forward of the present holes. That should set the seat that much further away from the steering wheel. I am surprised that there are not two sets of holes in the seat frames, as there are on the Squarebirds.

I don't think there's room to drill holes in the seat frame. I believe the factory holes are all the way forward.
