    New Door Handles

I just received these new door handles in the post and after unwrapping noticed that one of the handles has this distortion in the chrome work the other is fine. The box with the bad handle was unsealed as if it had been looked at or maybe returned to the store for replacement the other box was still sealed. It seems there is always something not quite right with parts I order from this place. My last order I had an extra row of stitching holes in the vinyl of the back seats and a few months later realized that I had been sent the wrong carpet color. Light saddle instead of Dark saddle. I complained about the vinyl but got told "sorry the supplier is not making anymore parchment seat covers and I got one of the last available" so I guess tuff luck. I hate complaining but I guess I'll have to do it again. Unfortunately it's hard to pick up the distortions in a photo because of the chrome reflecting ever thing but I'll post a pic to see if you guy's can see them. They run across the full width of the handle like a wave top to bottom.

What place? It doesn't help our members if you don't identify the vendor who is selling you inferior parts.

It's a well known place John. I've probably written my post out of frustration more than anything. I guess mistakes happen. I'll try and get this one replaced then see if I need to name and shame. It's a bit annoying when you pay $350US for parts and postage. That's almost $500 to me in Aust $ and then you have to frig around trying to get things replaced. I'll see how I go. Cheers

There is NO reason for flaws in a chrome job because it can be re-done. Send your parts back and tell the guy to pick up the freight because it's his fault.

Always tell us who you are buying from, good, bad or indifferent. Hiding the weenie helps nobody. If one of our members lives close to your vendor, he can inspect the parts before they are shipped. I've done it for members many times.

BTW, my chromer has a reputation to uphold. He may want to know if an employee is sending out junk. - Dave

            Sorry Ray try this one

Dave I bought the parts from Birds Nest. They have agreed to exchange so I am sending the part back. And I will be telling them that they can refund me the freight or send me some other part that I need. I've spent about 3.5k there in the last 18 months I think I deserve something for my business.
            Cheers

Birds Nest have come to the party and have said they will replace the part and will give me some credit for the postage on my next purchase.

              Cheers
