Will any ford fe fuel pump work? An exact replacement fuel pump for my 1960 352 is rare and pricy, and a autozone 390 fe fuel pump is under $40, and I know there alot of fe parts that are interchangable, just not sure if the fuel pump is one of them. Thanks for any advice. Russ.

They will all fit in the block. Only the 1958-60 has the vacumn booster for the windshield wipers. The 390 pump lacks this feature. You can use the vacumn directly from the manifold if you use a later fuel pump, but you will notice the wipers will slow considerably on acceleration.

You might look for a rebuild kit for the orginal I did this to a 42 Jeep for $12. I bet you someone has the kits. make sure it covers vacumn but it may not need to as that is a seperate cell if I am right = which might mean the vacumn part is ok. their easy to rebuild just take your time. I cleaned mine up and painted it with engine temp clear paint looks sharp.
