  • 1967 Ford Thunderbird Apollo

At All-ford Carlisle, I had the fortune of speaking with the owner of one of the 1967 Ford Thunderbird Apollo, E. Gene Martini. This was a customized car sold by Abecrombie and Fitch in 1967. I believe it cost $13,000 new. It had as standard equipment all the Thunderbird option for 1967 including the sunroof. In addition it had as standard equipment chromed door jambs, a fog light, an ice sensor, radio telephone, television and rear reading lights. It may have come with a 12 volt electric razor. this example is the only one built with a 390 engine. The rest were 428's.

This car has been repainted. It should have been a lighter shade of blue.

Robert, I missed seeing you this year there.

I have more images that I took. I may not have time to upload them all before my wedding this Saturday.

More pictures of All-Ford Carlisle can be found on these threads from the Lincolns of Distinction: http://www.lincolnsclub.org/forum/dc...opics&forum=73
