    Full Black Leather Interior

My parts car came with a full leather interior (not in the car)
Seats were recovered. The dash pad is newer, but oddly
has AC hole cut (but not radio hole). Some of the side pieces
and maybe the rear leather part on rear deck may have
been recovered, seem in too good shape to be original.

Door panels are original and top edge of bottom part
of covering on one panel needs to be re-attached (does
not appear to be any damage).

Not pictured, but also comes with newer black headliner
and sunvisors in nice shape (appear to have original
chrome mounting though, which is pitted).

Everything stored in my finished basement.

Looking to get $2000.00. Not really looking to
box all that up and shipping might be more
    than the parts anyway.

Don't necessarily need everything, but I do need seats. Anyone know if the black could be dyed red? I'm guessing no, or at least not easily.

          refurbished my seats

I used a kit from www.autoleatherdye.com to refurbish my front seats this spring and I'm real happy with the results. Seems to be wearing well. The kit cost about $75 and includes cleaner, filler, dye, conditioner and some buffing / cleaning rags. I did some sewing on the seams of both seats where they were starting to come apart then just followed the instructions. Here's the before and after.

I did some online digging and found that yes, I could dye these red (technically more like painting) but the proper supplies will run several hundred dollars ($800 is what a guy on a BMW forum had in his black to red interior conversion).

I would check with a local upholstery shop. You may find out it's a lot cheaper to have them do it than to buy the materials and do it yourself.

Thanks Dano. I don't know how well this kit would work for a color change, but for a refurbish it works great.

Not totally opposed, but the most I can do it carry the stuff outside for someone else to do all the work to ship.
