  • Help needed with locating replacement parts

I am in the process of restoring and 81 Ford Thunderbird Town Landau. I am looking for the price for the following items

Complete rear passenger side taillight assembly and taillight lens

Complete passenger side rear taillight marker assembly and lens.

Any information on this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Help needed with locating replacement parts

    Hi Christal!

If you look down in the Advertisements Forum, you will find a list of many of the Tbird parts places that many of us use to obtain our parts from. Call or email them and let them know what you have in the way of a Tbird, and what you need. Check also with John Draxler of the Thunderbird Ranch. He has many Tbird parts off of his parts cars. Check with Bob at Bob's Bird House in Delaware, and the guys at The Bird Nest in Oregon. They both have parts cars. Check on eBay and Craigs List also. Hopefully, you will be able to find what you need.

I just checked the parts website nation wide for 1981 Tbird parts and found nothing.

I also checked website nation wide for a 1981 Tbird parts car for sale and found these. But they are not parts cars.

I have been using to search Craigs List for several years, but I just found out that they have been given a cease and desist order by Craigs List and can no longer list Craigs List listings. This is to bad. One would have to go to Craigs List and search locally, then regionally, or nation wide. Jaxed gave you the ability to instantly search regionally, or nationally instantly for parts and cars. There are other search engines that will search Craigs List. Here is one called Daily Lister that I used to search 1981 Thunderbird with Auto Parts as the subject. Here is what I came up with, many pages of listings.

Here is another Craigs List national search engine.

Thank you very much for the information. I will definitely give that a try.

Long story short it had no dents and then my landlord accidentally bumped into it and damaged those parts with his bob cat... He wants to pay for the parts and thus my mission began to find them. I want to be fair about it, but I also can't wait to find them and make my beauty glow again. Once again thanks so much for your advice. Have a great day!
