  • Distributer wire

On a 1966 Town Landau, with a 390, is the wire from the distributer to the coil a special type wire, or can i use any wire ?

There's nothing special about the coil wire. Any high quality coil wire will work. Cars that had transistorized ignition used spark plug wires with a different core material.

After rereading your post it occurred to me that you may be talking about the black wire from the distributor to the negative side of the coil. If so it's not any special type of wire but I would use stranded copper at least 14 gauge.
