Those 15A & 20A Fuses/Circuit Breakers That Are Hard To Find...

Steve Puig has told me that his 1966 Flairbird is still being worked on in Massachusetts and they have been looking for NEW 15A & 20A Fuses/Circuit breakers. New ones are about impossible to find, and finding used ones is difficult also. So a decision has been made by Steve, David and Dan, to go with a modern fuse box, and modern blade type fuses. That will leave what available stock of the OEM units for the guys who are doing Concourse restorations on their Flairbirds. Steve's is considerable modernized and customized. But, being the Bloodhound I am, I have found three sources for them. John Draxler, Tbird Ranch, has 2 15A, and 4 20A units. I think that is the number also that the Bird Nest has too. Then I thought of Clint who has 4 Flairbirds he is parting out. He has them, plus the wiring harnesses, and a lot of other parts off his parts Flairbirds. So if you are looking for these fuses/circuit breakers, there are some contacts for you!

The part number you cited, 65-PT_CB: is it located were shown in the accompanying diagram? I'm reading the breaker as open circuit on my '66. How is the breaker removed/replaced?

Remove the wires and pull out the breaker . They have a spring clip on the back to hold them n place . Have some used breakers if you can not find any locally . Just send me a pm . Careful when removing the wires ( nuts ) as they can be seized and will destroy the breaker .

It appears to be the 20 amp breaker in the upper left of the fuse box. https://www.cjponyparts.com/converti...er-1965/p/WT1/

I made a list a while back of the fuses in the factory panel. My numbering system starts at the top left proceeding vertically, then the right side. Numbers 1,2,7,8 are circuit breakers and not listed here.

              NO.

Scrolling through some old post looking for different help on subjects, I came across this post on, the mini circuit breakers 15 amp and 20 amp. An automotive electrical shop I had work done at, came across the 15 & 20 mini breakers, the place is Ace Armature in Pawtucket., RI, they have them in stock, I don't know if they will ship them out, but at least it is a place to start, maybe they will ship, ask for Norm.
